Process of Care:

1. Pre-operative Assessment: Before surgery, patients undergo a thorough pre-operative assessment to ensure they are fit for the procedure. This includes medical history review, physical examination, and any necessary diagnostic tests.

2. Surgery:

   • Minor Surgeries: Performed under local or regional anesthesia, these procedures typically involve minimal recovery time and allow patients to return home the same day. Examples include biopsies, cataract removal, and minor orthopedic procedures.
   • Major Surgeries: Conducted under general anesthesia, these complex procedures require longer operating times and may involve overnight stays in the hospital. Examples include joint replacements, pediatric surgeries, neurosurgical procedures e.t.c

3. Post-operative Care: Following surgery, patients are closely monitored in the recovery room until they are stable. Pain management, wound care, and any necessary medications are provided.
